• Robert Button – Founder and Director

  After a very brief stint as a computer programmer, Bob spent his early working years in rehabilitation services at several different organizations helping injured people re-learn how to move. That – coupled with his martial arts training led Bob to teach people how to move so as to avoid injuries in the first place. This led to his initial corporate consulting contract almost a quarter century ago. 

  
  

  His current clients include Anheuser-Busch, Oregon State Accident Insurance Fund, ConocoPhillips, Walt Disney Company, Crowley Maritime, Sacramento Municipal Utility District, Westinghouse Energy Services and many others. 

  
  

  Bob has a very long list of public speaking engagements and published articles in the safety field.

• Dave Preston – CEO

  Dave Preston has a 30 year history of driving innovation in the Information Technology industry.  

  
  

  Dave is CEO of Safety In Motion, Inc. which has been and will continue to be a consulting and training company. However, with the addition of SIM4™ SIM Inc. is also moving into the software space. Previously Dave spent 20 years at Intel where he led Intel’s side of a $200M blade server R&D collaboration with IBM, was a founder of the Intel Capital new business incubator, and had a variety of financial, sales and marketing management roles including General Manager and controller for internal new ventures. Dave has served on the board of the Oregon Entrepreneurs Forum and has been an angel investor. Prior to Intel Dave sold mainframe computers for IBM in the Midwest.

  
  

  Dave has a BA in economics from Kalamazoo College, an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago, and a Ph.D. in corporate strategy and the management of innovation from the University of Oregon where he also taught in the business school. 

  
  

  Dave has been married for 25 years, has 2 children ages 19 and 21. 

  Dave has done Judo, Tae Kwon Do and Tai Chi. Now he is an avid triathlon competitor.

  
  

• Richard Blaho Jr.

  Rich Blaho is the Senior Consultant with Safety Results, Inc. 

  He has been on staff full time since November of 2000. His duties include marketing, presentations at Safety Conferences, shooting risk assessment & applications videos and all phases of developing Safety In Motion® Trainers at all levels. Rich has trained and certified over 1000 Trainers and Champions for Safety Results Inc. He was also heavily involved in the recent development and upgrading of all Safety In Motion® materials and development of new modules.

  
  

  Prior to November of 2000, he was the Co- Facilitator for the Behavioral Based Safety Process (BBS) for ARCO Alaska. His duties included overseeing the development and implementation of the BBS process for over 1000 employees. He was also tasked with integrating Safety In Motion® with the BBS Process. During his tenure as Facilitator he began working part time with Safety Results Inc.

• Andy DuBose

  Andy DuBose is a Master Trainer and Senior Consultant with Safety In Motion®, Inc. and has been on staff full time since August of 2004. His duties include Marketing, Professional Presentations at Health and Safety Related Conferences, Risk Assessment (collection of application examples and identification of task related exposures), developing and certifying Safety In Motion® Trainers at all levels, and working with client management to develop successful implementation plans. He was also heavily involved in the recent development and upgrading of all Safety In Motion® materials and development of new modules.

  
  

  Prior to employment with Safety In Motion®, Inc., Andy worked as a member of the Safety Department for an 800 employee Plastics plant in Texas. Andy was involved in the implementation of this sites Behavior Based Safety Process (BBS), served as the BBS Facilitator for 4 years and was influential in integrating Safety In Motion® with other safety initiatives; including the BBS Process, Incident Investigation, Return to Work program, New Hire Orientation, Health and Wellness Programs, and Project/SOP/JSA development.

  
  

  Andy’s communication and organizational skills served him well as he worked as a member and Chairman of both National and Regional Conference Committees for National safety service providers.

Personal interest and experience with Health, Fitness, and Wellness also serve Andy in his professional duties as an employee of Safety In Motion®, Inc. He is a Certified Personal Trainer and holds certifications through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and CrossFit.
  

  
  

• Hilary Lipman - Administration

  If it involves a list, a spreadsheet or a 3 ring binder Hilary is one happy camper.  She has worked at Safety Results Inc/Safety In Motion, Inc. for 13 years and really enjoys working with the clients, supporting all aspects of the training, module and new program development and video production.   

   

  She moved to Oregon a zillion years ago and has worn several hats; including running a medical office, a wholesale travel company, and her own video production company.  With the exception of the two floods in the office (and let us not even discuss management of Dave and his banana peel issues) she has taken great pleasure in being involved in the growth of the company. 

  Hilary has two children, two grandchildren, two dogs, is a Pilates fanatic, and walks miles every week.  Other past times include cooking, reading, traveling and filing!
